Hey according to a comment on yesterdays blog, I missed a TV show on the hardest jobs. It had trucking as a hard job. Well I'll have to catch the rerun! The comment also said that they were aware of a lot of the problems facing truckers from reading my blog. Boy is my chest stuck out! Hope all of you get to see the show. I'm sure it is a lot more interesting than my blog.
Well, if the tractor is out of the shop today we will be on the road again. Ted is having the air compressor replaced. Boy it is expensive to keep a tractor running properly!
I'll be storing my laptop now in the hope that we will depart in the AM. Will report my next adventure as soon as I can.

For your sake, I hope you guys get moving today. Sounds like you have been in touch with Ted. At least you know truck is in the shop.
Glad my comments extended your chest...but I really meant every word of it. No way in the world would I have watched that show without you new job and I of course would have understood nothing without what I have learned from your blogs, esp. your answers to sonof's questions!!!! I am too stupid to ask an intelligent question!!! Again, BE SAFE and HAPPY!!!!
Mack has pointed me to your bolg. I am learning a lot. You be careful out there!
I missed the had jobs show too. I've been digging the oddball Discovery Channel shows like Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers, so I probably would've liked it. PJ was that road they were on the Dempster Hwy? That one's in Canada - can't recall if it goes into Alaska. Read an article about driving a Corvette up the Dempster - an unpaved road over the permafrost. Crazy stuff. Not sure if I'd rather be in a Vette or a Mack for that one.
Hope the truck's ready to roll tomorrow. Let us know when you get a minute what's happening.
Sonof....the show was definitely filmed all in Alaska. At times they were on what looked like an interstate, then good two lane paved roads, then non paved roads.
Like I said, I did find it very interesting, but probably would not have watched unless this career change had come about and the blogs. Your questions got us the most info on actual driving the truck!!! Thanks.....shoot I always enjoy your posts!!!
Hey, Cz.
Geez... I guess this IS a new adventure. Before anything else, I'll give you some static about being 'stuck in a motel in Atlanta' for a few days and not checking in. It's not the FF way you peckerhead.
OK... enough of that.
First I've seen of this, so I'm guessin' you've got an old e-mail address.
I'll be keeping up with you now that we know about it and I'll shoot something to C-Dog to let him know you're out there. (Out there on the blogosphere AND out there on the road. He may want to keep off of 285 for the next few weeks:) )
Carolina/Georgia comin' up. After last time I can't be talkin' trash, but we'll see in a couple of weeks if Dawgs can stop the evil genius.
Good luck with it and when you're back down this way we can fix you up with some home cookin'. You're gonna need to put some country music on your Ipod there, bud.
Hey TM, heard you're headed to Wyo. Ride 'em, Cowboy! Bring me back a 10 gallon hat. Next time you're on line, shoot me a description of the camera you're looking at.
WildBill- go dawgs! The Johnson clan are Clemson fans, so a good Carolina whuppin is good clean fun. Give my best to your bro.
