Love it: Hate it
The effects of winter can be both beautiful and nasty. I will always love how snow changes the scenery, but it is being pretty nasty now. This reminds me of the snow I saw in Germany when my family went over during Christmas years ago.
I am still in Ohio, and a lot of the counties have declared this a level 3 snow emergency. That means that if you are caught on the roads they will fine you.
I finally got hold of the security guard at the shipper; I was supposed to go to today. They informed me that they were closed because of the weather and may be tomorrow. They were told if any trucks showed up to send them away.
I’m not sure when I’ll get home now. It may be this week-end before I see the smiling face of my beautiful wife. I know that she has had a double shot of worry these past days with me telling her all my woes and her sister having to return to the hospital. Evin’s operation went ok but she developed an infection and had to return to the hospital. They tried to treat the infection with drugs that she had a bad reaction to. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Remember, if you have to drive in adverse weather, the best way to stay safe is to go very slow. Break gently and do it way before you think you need to. Snow and ice can kill!

I want to go home
Well, the title about tell it all. I am suppose to be home tomorrow. That is not going to happen. I am in Ohio and can't pick up a load till 2PM tomorrow. It will go to Chester SC. It is about a 10 hr. trip and the weather is stinking. If I can do it, I will but I probably will not get home till Thursday.
If anyone out there is considering driving a truck for a living, the only think I can say is, DON'T! Making a living this way is darn near an impossibility.
Driving the big rigs is fun but from what I've seen there is no way to make any money doing it.
Remember weather can ruin your whole day. Slow down, expect the unexpected, and arrive alive.
